I am sending so much love your way, my fellow PopPreneurs.

These are extremely challenging times and many of you may already be experiencing major financial hardship due to cancellations of literally any and everything that involves in-person events and activities.

But this does not mean that you have to shutter your business and accept impending doom.

Do not accept defeat.

Do not Stress

You are a visionary

A dreamer

You will get through this.

Now is the time to look this challenge in the face and

double down, use your skills and creativity as an entrepreneur and your understanding of how to conduct your business, manage communication with partners, vendors, customers, clients and staff.

Connect online online to serve and let’s all thrive.

I have a quick plan for you,

Step 1# Choose to WIN

Fear is not being a leader.  Nothing that you want for your business is on the other side of being frantic or fearful.

Limit your consumption of social media and the news.

You are a leader in  your community, in the food industry, a professional. Someone that chose a path to put smiles of peoples faces everyday with your products.

The world needs you! Step into your greatness!

STEP 2: Seek out FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES

With social distancing, catering events, farmers markets, etc. Our industry is experiencing extreme hardships. It’s truly scary times my friends. But let me tell you something about who you are,

You are an food entrepreneur. A PopPreneur to be exact!

You innovate

You’ve made something out of nothing before.

And if it comes to that you will do it again.

It’s time to accept what can’t be right now and start creating what can. Every economic downturn creates opportunities, if you keep a positive mind so that you can seek the opportunities. Keep calm and get creative.

I offer suggestions of things that you can do here in this video.

  • How to approach your clients with compassion.
  • How to ask for rescheduling and postponement instead of cancellations.
  • How to keep selling

Step #3 Don’t be afraid to ask for help and then also accept help and resources that are offered.

In the coming weeks there will be government sponsored programs to offer some small business relief. APPLY! This is not the time for pride or ego. Everyone is taking a loss.

They may not help you fully recover, but it will help at minimum with $$$ for marketing efforts to get back on the radar of decision makers.

Use crowdfunding platform. Here’s another way to get creative. Off gift cards for future purchases in exchange for people spending money with you business not. i.e.. For $100 get $120 worth of product from us to use at a future date.

Place your Labor Day event now and we will throw in free branded wrappers or an extra 2 hours of a cart attendant for free.

STEP 3: Make a decision.

Decide that you, your family and your business are going to make it.

Decide that you are going to make it financially. Decide that you will maintain your health on the other side of this.

Decide that you are powerful beyond measure, as Marianne Williamson always says.

Our minds can manifest powerful things when we decide that our current situations wont define the rest of our lives. A setup is a setup for a major comeback!

Stand in your conviction.

You will guide yourself, your team and your business towards success.

Say this out loud right now:

What I know for sure is…

I know my business will survive

I know that I will survive

I know that I have the strength to lead.

I know my customers, events and opportunities will come back.

I will come out on top

I don’t have to let go of my entire team.

I know this for sure because I made a decision to win.

When you make a decision to win, you match that with positive actions, and forward momentum.

When you make the decision to give up and succumb to defeat, you also match the negative energy with every next stop you take.
